What is the Chiikawa Mod?
The Chiikawa Mod is a mod that brings the world of Chiikawa into Minecraft. The characters of Chiikawa come to live in your world, so you can experience the world of Chiikawa in Minecraft.
Why I Made It
I really love the world of Chiikawa, especially Usagi. When I was feeling low, it helped me relax, and I also love the sense of absurdity about it.
I want to bring that strength from the world of Chiikawa to everyone, so I made this mod.
About This Site
This site has three parts:
- Introduction covers what the Chiikawa Mod is, how to install it and how to get started.
- Playing goes in the order you will come across things: from meeting the pets, taming them and living together, to work, the shop, looking after them, the weeding licence, the music box and Hachiware's camera, and finally how they get along with each other.
- Data Packs is for modpack authors, and covers what in the data pack you can change and how.
Every player gets a copy of Chiikawa's Work Handbook the first time they join a world. The handbook covers each part of the game in a few lines, and you can jump between chapters on the left; for the details, click "More on the website" in the handbook to open the matching page of this site.

Thanks
Thank you to every player who downloaded it, tried it out or left a comment. Many changes started with a single line of feedback you left in the comments, in an issue or in the group chat. Thanks also to everyone who took the time to describe a problem patiently, and even attached their logs.
Thanks to zoe_1000 for the art support for the mod.
And finally, thank you for reading this far. I hope they keep you company in the world of blocks, through some lively and gentle days.
