Living Together
Once your pet is home, the two of you start living together. This chapter covers how to give it orders, how to check on it, and how to look after it day to day.
Three Orders
Sneak and right-click your pet to switch between three orders:
| Order | What it does |
|---|---|
| Follow | Stays by your side. When there is a Labor Board or a Shop nearby, it also stops by to take work or do some shopping |
| Sit | Stays right where it is |
| Free Roam | Treats where it was when you switched as home, works near home at its own job, and takes slips, goes shopping and brings you gifts on its own |
A following pet won't get left behind: when you get too far away, it is teleported to your side. To give orders to every pet nearby at once, blow a Whistle Candy.
Its Screen
Right-click it (without sneaking) to open its screen. It has three pages:
- Backpack holds the things it carries and the emeralds it has earned. You can take things out, and you can put things in.
- Status shows what it is doing right now, how far along it is with the slip in hand, how much money it has, whether it has a gift ready for you, and also its job, what it likes and its Weeding Licence grade.
- Orders lets you pick one of the three orders, the same as sneaking and right-clicking.
Feeding It
Healing. When it is hurt, right-click it while holding food to heal it a little.
Simple Dish. Craft a Simple Dish from bread, a bowl and one kind of crop. After you feed it one, for 5 minutes it walks faster and is keener to work.
Pocket money. Right-click it while holding emeralds to give it pocket money. It will be very happy, and once it has saved enough, it goes to the Shop to buy something it likes on its own.
Rucksacks and Pouches
A pet's own backpack isn't very big. Open its screen and put a bag in the bag slot on the Backpack page: its backpack gets 10 more slots, and it wears the bag too.
- Rucksack is the grey rucksack everyone wears to go out to work in the anime, crafted from leather, grey wool and string.
- Pouches are Chiikawa's bear, Hachiware's whale and Usagi's star, crafted from pink, light blue and yellow wool respectively, with string.
Any pet can wear any bag, and the Shop sells them too.
Those are the basics of living together. Want it to go out and earn money? Read on in Work.
